The Hawks open the 2015-16 NBA regular season against the Detroit Pistons. They’re looking to start the season on strong note with new faces and higher expectations. Hawks fans are truly excited for their Hawks to fly even higher than last year’s historic season. This time, they’re seeking to make it back to the Eastern Conference Finals and beat the potential matchup against the powerhouse Cleveland Cavaliers. But first it’s all about Atlanta picking up where they’ve left off last season. Jeff Teague, Kyle Korver, Paul Millsap, and Al Horford are the four primary leaders of this Hawks team. Since they’ve lost their fifth starter in DeMarre Carroll, who took his talents to the North with the Toronto Raptors, the Hawks have big shoes to fill in. Kent Bazemore will look to fill that void after being named the starting SF. In addition, the new acquisitions of Tiago Splitter, Tim Hardaway Jr, and Justin Holiday should be enough fill that void on both ends of the floor. Hawks fans who attend to the game tomorrow night will get treated to free T-shirts as well as a performance by Atlanta’s own Rich Homie Quan.

The Pistons are coming off a disappointing season where they once again failed to make the playoffs. They also must cope with the loss of PF/C Greg Monroe who was an integral part of their team. Pregame coverage will begin at 7:00 PM with tip at 8 on Fox Sports Southeast. Let’s see if our Hawks will start the season on the right foot. LET’S GO HAWKS!!!
