HOW WE GOT HERE: The Hawks finally looked like the Hawks we’ve come to know and love in the other day’s blowout victory over the woeful Philadelphia 76’ers. The ball flowed side to side as the Hawks racked up 36 assists on 49 made shots. The Hawks even won the rebounding battle 48-43. Atlanta got a boost from the second unit with a surprisingly nice contribution from Tim Hardaway JR with 8 first half points off the bench. Kyle Korver however, continued to struggle, netting only 5 points on 1-3 shooting from behind the arc. Going forward, the Hawks will need to get more from Korver if we are aiming to accomplish big things this season. The Chicago Bulls are coming in riding a season high, six game winning streak. For the Hawks, the task will be finding a way to contain star shooting guard Jimmy Butler who is “balling out of control” lately. When you look at the Bulls, this year’s squad isn’t like the past contenders we’ve seen where you primarily had to worry about  Derrick Rose. Butler is clearly the go-to guy and leader of this Chicago Bulls squad.

MATCHUP OF THE NIGHT: Tonight’s matchup of the night is Jimmy Butler vs. whomever the Hawks put on him. Look for Kent Bazemore to get the start defensively on Butler. It would be too dangerous to even attempt to put Kyle Korver on him. Teague vs Rose has always been fun to watch as well.
