The 2017 off-season is off to a fast start and the Atlanta Hawks decided to make a move. The Hawks have agreed to move Dwight Howard and their 31st pick and in return will receive the Hornets 41st pick, Marco Belinelli and Miles Plumlee. Howard agreed to a three-year $70-million deal with his hometown team this past off-season. Charlotte will absorb a two-year, $47-million contract. Howard came off the 2016-17 season averaging 13.5 points per game and leading the team in rebounding with 12.7 per game. Hawks struggled to get Howard involved in the offense this past season, which could have played a part in this deal. Also, this trade seems to be a salary dump that could point us to the direction of a rebuild.
