
On Thursday, the Atlanta Hawks made a major move off the court, earning their first sponsorship on their jerseys from Atlanta-based, Sharecare. Sharecare is an innovative and interactive health and wellness website providing an environment for everyone from consumers to health care experts to “share care”. Sharecare was created by internet entrepreneur Jeff Arnold (Founder/CEO of WebMD, HowStuffWorks) and Dr. Mehmet Oz.

According to Gallup-Sharecare Well-Index Poll, Atlanta as well as the entire state of Georgia, ranks in the bottom percentile. In order to give residence of Georgia more control in monitoring their health beginning this October, Sharecare will offer special access to its new comprehensive digital platform. The Hawks and Sharecare plan on collaborating major community intiatives aimed at improving the well-being and health of Atlantans, including pop-up health engagements, unique co-branded digital and social campaigns and content. Fans who actively participate in the movement will be rewarded with free seats to watch your Atlanta Hawks put on a show. Hawks will also begin offering a healthier variety of foods that will begin at the start of the 2018-2019 season. The Sharecare logo will be proudly displayed on the left front shoulder strap of the official Atlanta Hawks jersey.
