Tyler Cavanaugh is Here to Stay

New York Knicks V Atlanta Hawks
Tyler Cavanaugh (Hawks.com)

Earlier this week, Tyler Cavanaugh signed a multi-year contract with the Atlanta Hawks.

He has definitely impressed a lot of Hawks fans this season with his consistent three point shooting, and those hard fought, hustle rebounds. His biggest performance this season was on November 13 against the New Orleans Pelicans. He put up 16 points going 4/4 from the three point line, and 6/7 from the field, along with 6 rebounds. That game proved that he had potential to play in this league.

With Cavanaugh only being 6’9, he brings a lot of energy and effort off the bench. His play fits right into Coach Budenholzer’s system and it has definitely shown. He’s averaging only 5.5 points per game but that’s only because Coach Budenholzer doesn’t get the chance to play him consistently. I’m sure he’ll eventually crack into the regular rotation real soon.

Once again, Welcome to Atlanta Tyler Canvanaugh!
