The Atlanta Hawks took this one by a long shot!

After arguably our worst shooting performances ever in our last game we returned and gave a heck of a shooting performance. We shot 48% from the field goal and 12/26 on threes tonight for about 46%.

Dennis had another 20 point game and Taurean Prince looked alive as well tonight scoring 17 points on 54% field goal shooting in addition to a pair of 3s. Baze and Marco hit some big shots down the stretch to carry us to a comfortable 2nd half lead over the Jazz. John Collins also threw down some impressive slams as he usually does to put the exclamation mark on this victory. Malcolm Delaney also got the game going in the first half by providing 6 assists off the bench, he finished with 8 for the night.

We wore the Jazz down early on having played as many as 11 players in the 1st quarter alone. That number grew to 12 some time into the 2nd quarter. Luke Babbit even got subbed in in the 1st. Throwing bodies at them left and right was sure to be a challenge with the Jazz’s short handed roster tonight. We kept the energy up the entire night and cut down on our mistakes and capitalized off of theirs.

Looking ahead the Hawks face off against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night. Tip off is at 7:30 at Phillips Arena and this will prove to be another tough matchup as we take on all stars Demar Derozan and Kyle Lowry. But as tonight has showed and countless others, when we’re at our best we can hang with just about anybody.
