The Hawks came together and got a 26 point victory over the Memphis Grizzlies Tuesday night in Phillips Arena!

Dennis Schroeder led the team with 22 points 5 assists and 0 turnovers. He shot an impressive 60% from the field tonight and appeared to be scoring at will most times. Rookie John Collins also posted an impressive points/rebounds double double with 15 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

We saw a good brand of “Bud Ball” tonight which involves high energy defense, sharing the load, moving the ball and knocking down smart shots. The Hawks had 26 assists tonight and shot 50% from the field. We saw a lot of energy on both sides of the court early on which got us off to a great start offensively. We held star center Marc Gasol to just 8 points and 6 rebounds and the Grizzlies finished with a horrible 25 turnovers tonight.

The Hawks appear to be the “West Killers” after winning 6 straight games against the West since January 8th. This is definitely not a team you can take a night off against.

The Hawks will take on the Orlando Magic on Thursday February 8th at 7:00PM EST.
