Seahawks Requesting 2nd or 3rd Round Pick for Michael Bennett

Yesterday, news from Vaughn Mclure came out that said the Falcons were one of the teams interested in trading for Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett.

New details emerged today that the Seahawks would like to get a 2nd or 3rd round pick from teams. Unfortunately, I don’t think he’s worth anything more than a 4th round pick so this could be the end of the saga but hopefully not.

The Seahawks are also interested in freeing up salary so they could cut him and Falcons could get him in free agency.

Michael Bennett is a 32 year old defensive end who has played with the Seahawks the last 5 years winning a Super Bowl and gaining 39 sacks in those 5 years. He was with Dan Quinn in Seattle for three years and is an obvious fit in the Falcons’ defensive scheme.
