3 Up, 3 Down For The Hawks: Week 25

The season is almost over.

It’s April Fools today, but I’m not coming with the jokes. The Hawks have 5 more games left and I can’t explain how happy I am. They finished off this week with a win against the Magic. It wasn’t a pretty win, but nonetheless, they got the job done. Let’s get into who impressed this week for the team.

Isaiah Taylor

I gave this one to Taylor last week, but it looks like he deserves it again. With the news of Dennis not playing for the rest of the season, Taylor will definitely be finishing as the starter. So far, he’s been doing a good job filling in for Dennis. He had another solid week as he got most of the guard duties with Delaney still out as well. This could be a good time for Taylor to solidify his spot on the roster next season.

Mike Muscala

Muscala has been coming on as of late to end the season. He scored 24 points against the Wolves and had a double-double against the Magic today. That 3 point stroke is looking good for Muscala, and hopefully, he keeps it going.

DeAndre’ Bembry

BEMBRY BYKE! We haven’t seen Bembry in action since February 23rd, and it was great to see him get some minutes tonight. Even though he airballed his first shot (oops), it was all about getting into a rhythm for Bembry. He should be getting minutes in these last couple of games, so let’s see if he can show out and make a good case for himself.

Dennis Schroder

It was announced earlier this week that Dennis will miss the remainder of the season. He had a great season, and probably one of his best so far. He did have his bad times, but at this point, that’s what you will expect from him: and that’s not good. Dekalb County tried to upgrade his misdemeanor to a felony. The incident happened in September, and the court is still keeping the case relevant. It was also revealed the person that was involved injured his ACL, which is horrible news. Dennis has to be better.

Whoever was guarding KAT

I felt some type of way when Ben Simmons said what he said on Tuesday. To make things worse, it really looked like KAT had time to play that game since he put up 56 on us. That’s really embarrassing in my eyes, and the Hawks didn’t do anything about it. I feel like we went all season without getting embarrassed, but something just had to happen. And no, I’m not hating.

Help Me Out

You know what to do. Anybody/anything you think the Hawks did wrong this week, let me know.
