Shortly after signing the well-known slugger, Jose Bautista, the Braves did something with another guy named Jose, though this one much more infamous amongst Braves country.

Jose Ramirez, 0-2 on the season and the pitcher responsible for each of the Braves’ last two losses, has been less-than-stellar this season. After starting the season with a few good outings, he has walked far too many batters, and his ERA sits at a whopping 17.05 in his 7 games so far this season. He has not been good and recently stated that shoulder tightness in his throwing arm has made locating his pitches difficult.

Today (April 18, 2018), he was placed on the DL, and the Braves called up Jesse Biddle from Gwinnett to be his replacement.

Thus, the Braves pick up one “Jose,” while losing another.
