Who Said Defensive Players Can’t Score?

A stat has been floating around saying that in the regular season the defensive players accounted for 29% of the goals for the Predators.

P.K. Subban is my prediction to be the breakout performer for game 5. A defensive player has yet to score for the Predators this post season. Subban has found the back of the net 16 times this season. I predict him to find the net at least once in tonight’s game. The last few games P.K. has had some strong slap shots on goal but the didn’t make it to the net. Also this season Subban has 43 assist. He is often in the mix when the puck is being passed around in the offensive zone. He has proven himself to be a big defensive player that can score. In his career P.K. has 89 goals with 288 assist. Even if he doesn’t score tonight I expect he will be either laying a big hit to free the puck leading to a goal or hitting one of the offensive players with an assist.
