#8: Paul Millsap Drops 45 on the Celtics

2016 1st Round, Game 4 @ Boston

Following a narrow loss in Game 3, Atlanta entered Game 4 in search of a road victory to send the series back to Atlanta up 3-1. And….they lost. However, Paul Millsap still turned in a near superhuman effort en route to 45 points and 13 rebounds.

Prior to Game 4, Millsap had been criticized, having only scored 26 points combined in the first three games. Needless to say, The Anchorman silenced his critics in Game 4. Millsap tortured Jae Crowder all game, scoring 10 points in the last two minutes of the first half, all while being guarded by Crowder. Millsap continued his hot shooting into the third quarter, where his lethal post moves and silky-smooth outside jumper gave the Celtics fits on defense.

Unfortunately, the Hawks crumbled down the stretch in regulation, allowing the Celtics to force overtime, where they eventually won, 104-95. However, Millsap still gave one of the most dominant playoff performances in franchise history.
