Hawks Player Season Recap: Damion Lee

From 10-Day Contracts to being inserted in the starting lineup.

With injuries mounting for the Hawks late into the season, the team had to go out and sign some players to contribute. Damion Lee was one of the 3 players that were signed to 10-day contracts.

Lee ultimately became the one that played the most out of those 3, mainly because of injuries to Antonius Cleveland and Jaylen Morris. Lee definitely did not disappoint and came on the scene quick for the Hawks.

In his first game, he scored 13 points against the Thunder. In his next game, he scored 14 points against the Hornets. You could tell early on that Lee would probably get another 10-day contract with how productive he had been so far.

A positive from Lee was his 3-point shooting. He did cool down for a moment from deep, but you could tell he was not scared to keep shooting.

Eventually, the Hawks signed him for the remainder of the season. He continued his great play and was inserted into the starting lineup during the last stretch of the season. With his 3 point shooting and aggressiveness on the floor, Lee not only showed that he deserved to be on the team for the remainder of the season, but also that he should be on the team next season as well.
