Way Too Early Season Predictions: 2018 Atlanta Falcons

September 6th, 2018 8:20 PM

Atlanta Falcons @ Philadelphia Eagles

The Falcons will be opening up their 2018 campaign against the reigning super bowl champions and the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year. Atlanta is looking to play the spoiler for Philly’s homecoming game and get some revenge against the team that ended their title hopes last season.  Expect the Falcons to be firing on all cylinders on the defensive side of the ball on an Eagles team that recently lost their offensive coordinator and quarterback coach. It’s unclear if Carson Wentz will be ready to start week one after tearing his acl late into last season so I’m anticipating Nick Foles to start week one.  I expect a low scoring game where Philly’s crowd will help keep them in the game with Atlanta getting a defensive stop to close the game late in the 4th to start the season 1-0.

FINAL SCORE: Falcons 23 Eagles 17
