Atlanta Hawks Mock Draft 1.0

19. Shooting Guard Gary Trent Jr., Duke Blue Devils

The 6’5 guard from Duke can absolutely stroke it from deep and is one of the best shooters in the draft. Gary Trent Jr. would give the Hawks a player who could come off of screens and stretch the floor. Trent Jr. would be an upgrade to a 2nd unit that was severely lacking NBA talent.

Gary Trent Jr. averaged 14.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists during his freshman year at Duke. Trent Jr. is being compared to Sacramento Kings shooting guard Buddy Hield by NBA scouts.
