Both teams needed a win after they both lost their opening matches. While Poland has seen better days as a team, their performance left much to be desired against the South American squad. With Juan Cuadrado and James Rodriguez leading the way for Colombia’s attack, they were able to dance circles around Poland and find the back of the net 3 times over, effectively breaking the heart of all Polish fans.

Throughout the match, Colombia was the more dominant side and where Poland lacked in offensive power, “Los Cafeteros” had it. Other than a few late opportunities that were ultimately missed, Poland had no true chances to score.

Yerry Mina, Radamel Falcao, and Juan Quadrado all scored in this game and Colombia is able to keep their hopes high for their next match against Senegal. With a win, Falcao’s men can advance to the next round.

With these results, Lewandowski’s Poland failed to get any points and was eliminated from the competition.  Japan and Senegal stand at the top of Group H and with 4 points a piece, only 1 point separate these two and Colombia. Matchday 3 will be a day full of decisive play that dictate which two teams will move on to the Round of 16.Next
