Atlanta United Host Travel Goals with Delta Airlines

Atlanta United teamed up with Delta Airlines for Travel Goals

On Tuesday, July 24, 2018, Delta Airlines, the official Airline of Atlanta United FC, partnered with the team for a special day on the pitch. Five Stipe star players Brad Guzan and Micheal Parkhurst hosted the event.

The all-day skills challenge was highlighted by several lucky fans having the opportunity to kick for a chance to win a trip to various destinations around the globe.

To further demonstrate Atlanta’s connection to the world via Delta, the pitch was turned into a globe with seven “goals”. Those cities were: New York, Los Angeles, London, Rome,Buenos Aires, Johannesburg and Seoul. If a fan connected a shot into any of the corresponding goals, they would win a trip to that city.

This lucky fan scored a goal to London and even got a surprise visit from the greatest striker in MLS history, Josef Martinez.

For years, Delta has called the City of Atlanta home, connecting our city to the entire world. The team and Airline became official partners prior kicking off their inaugural season last year.

Next week, Atlanta will welcome the world of soccer with the MLS All-Star Game pitting the MLS against world powerhouse Juventus FC. Sorry guys, Ronaldo will not be making the trip.
