Atlanta Hawks Reveal 2018 Preseason Schedule Friday
The Atlanta Hawks will start their 50th season in Atlanta with the 2018 preseason, which will include a hometown reunion for Rookie Point Guard Trae Young. Due to Philips Arena still being under construction, the team is set to play their home preseason games at McCamish Pavillion, which is the home of Georgia Tech basketball and the Atlanta Dream.
The Hawks will play their first preseason game at home against the New Orleans Pelicans (Oct. 1) and then will be on the road for the next two games against the Memphis Grizzlies (Oct. 5) and Oklahoma City Thunder (Oct. 7). It will be Trae Young’s first game back in Oklahoma since leaving The University of Oklahoma. The Hawks will then play at home against the San Antonio Spurs (Oct. 10) before traveling to face the division rival Miami Heat (Oct. 12) to end the preseason.
FOX Sports South will televise, and broadcast on FOX Sports Go, three preseason games for the Hawks: October 5th at Memphis, October 10th vs San Antonio, and October 12th at Miami. Atlanta’s very own game-day announcers Bob Rathbun and Dominique Wilkins will be calling the games for Atlanta as well.
According to Hawks.com, tickets are not on sale yet, but will be available at a later date. An image of the schedule is shown below:
