It was a good Monday for Atlanta.

Braves top Marlins

In the game immediately following Sean Newcomb’s near no-hitter, Atlanta beat the Marlins, 5-3, in the first game of their series.

Johan Comargo led the team with two hits, while Ronald Acuña Jr. hit the tenth home run of his young MLB career.

Falcons continue camp

After their open practice in Mercedes Benz Stadium, the Falcons again scrimmaged back in Flowery Branch on Monday, in what was reportedly a defensive battle of a scrimmage.

Atlanta appeared to avoid any major injuries as they continue to monitor the recovery process for Tak McKinley and Calvin Ridley.

Coming up tonight

The Braves will look for their third straight win as they take on the Marlins. First pitch is at 7:35 PM ET.

The Atlanta Dream will be back in action with a home contest against the Washington Mystics, with tip-off coming at 7:00 PM ET.
