The Braves and Dream continued their winning ways.

Braves beat the Mets 2-1

The Atlanta Braves have bounced back from their overall down play during the month of July this week. Friday night, Atlanta picked up their 5th straight victory with a 2-1 victory in the Big Apple. The win moves the Braves to 59-47 on the season. Despite the victory, Atlanta remains .5 games back of the division lead as the Phillies won their 3rd straight. The two teams face each other again Saturday afternoon at 7:10 PM. Kevin Gausman will be making his debut against Atlanta native Zach Wheeler.

Dream best Sky 89-74

The Atlanta Dream (17-10) won for the 9th time in 10 tries to solidify their 2nd place standing in the league. Angel led the way with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Tiffany Hayes chipped in with 19 points. After a trip up to play the Lynx, the Dream return home Tuesday to face the Aces.

Atlanta United host TFC

Atlanta United return to the pitch to face defending MLS and Supporter’s Shield champions Toronto FC. After a sluggish start to the season, TFC has finally shown some signs of life to make what should be a very entertaining match. Gametime is set for 4PM on ESPN. After Saturday the Five Stripes will enjoy two full weeks off before facing the Columbus Crew on August 19th.

Come back tomorrow, and everyday for another “Today in the A”!
