Not a good day for our Braves and United

Toronto FC somehow earns a Draw at the Benz

On an afternoon where Atlanta dominated in nearly every facet of the match and Josef Martinez scored two more goals, the Five Stripes were somehow unable to get three points. TFC was stymied 90% of the match and was outshot by a wide margin but were able to get goals in stoppage time of both halves to secure the draw. Yet again, Atlanta United will be left with a sour taste in their mouths after blowing what should have been another win. Hey, at least NYCFC didn’t win. At 48 points, Atlanta once again controls their own destiny in the Supporters’ Shield race.

Mets blank Braves 3-0

Atlanta native Zach Wheeler tossed a gem as the Braves were blanked Saturday afternoon 3-0. Atlanta managed only five hits in the five game winning streak snapping loss. The series wraps up Sunday at 1:10 with Julio on the mound facing Corey Oswalt.

What to Watch for

Braves @ Mets 1:10 PM

Dream @ Lynx 7:00 PM

Come back tomorrow, and everyday for another “Today in the A”!
