Jose Urena, a pitcher in the Miami Marlin’s organization, hit Ronald Acuña on the first pitch of the game. He threw a 98 MPH fastball right at Acuña. This led to the benches clearing and the ejection of Braves Manager, Brian Snitker, but not before he convinced the umpires that Urena’s pitch was intentional. Here it is below:

The good news, if there can be any good news, is that MLB confirmed that Acuña’s home run streaks (3-straight leadoff homers, homers in 5 straight games) remain intact since the only official plate appearance was a HBP.
Now we just wait to hear back from the Braves on the status of his injury, as he left the game at the beginning of the second inning…
