The Atlanta Braves released their 2019 schedule today with a few minor tweaks in start times for home games.
“Now that we have almost two seasons under our belts and have observed the flow around the ballpark, we feel comfortable moving start times up,” said Derek Schiller, president and CEO of the Atlanta Braves, in a statement.
Night games will now start at 7:20 p.m. and Sunday games will begin at 1:20 p.m. The Braves will begin the season in Philadelphia on March 28th for a three-game series with their NL East rival Phillies before returning April 1st for the home opener against the Chicago Cubs.
The Braves will have three holiday games at home this year. The Phillies will be here on Father’s Day and the 4th of July and the Toronto Blue Jays will take the field for Labor Day.
In 2019, for Interleague play, the Braves will be playing teams from the AL Central, as well as four games against Toronto. Interleague home games will be against the Detroit Tigers, Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox, and Toronto Blue Jays. Interleague road games will be against the Cleveland Indians, Minnesota Twins, Kansas City Royals, and Toronto Blue Jays.
