Recap of August 25.
Falcons offense struggles again in loss
The Atlanta Falcons were in Jacksonville, Florida yesterday as they faced off against the Jaguars in their third preseason game. The Falcons offense left fans in disappointment not scoring a touchdown during the contest. Falcons fell to the Jaguars 17-6. Falcons are now 0-3 during the preseason.
Matt Ryan didn’t look like himself only completing 5-12 of his passes for 57 yards. He was also sacked three times. Tevin Coleman was the leading rusher for the Falcons with 38 yards on 7 carries.
Don’t worry Atlanta. It’s the preseason.
Braves fall short in Miami
Miami Marlins knocked off the Braves on Saturday pushing the four game series to a, 2-1 Miami lead. A two-run home-run by the Marlins in the 7th inning was too much for the Braves as they were shutout until the 9th inning. Miami won 3-1.
Starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez received the loss in the matchup moving his record to 6-5.
It’s playoff time in the WNBA and the Atlanta Dream look to keep their hot streak alive in the semifinals in game 1 against the Washington Mystics. Dream and Mystics will tip-off at 3pm on Sunday
Braves look for revenge
Braves will be in Miami again Sunday to finish up the series with the Marlins. Game will start at 1pm. Braves will start Kevin Gausman (3-1) and Marlins start Pablo Lopez (2-3).
