Let the Trae Young and Lloyd Pierce era begin.

The wait is finally over. After five and a half months, our Atlanta Hawks finally take to the court Monday evening.

Several new faces will be featured for a Hawks team coming off a dismal 24-58 record. Most notably, Rookie Trae Young. Trae Young comes to Atlanta after being selected 5th overall in the 2018 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks. Atlanta and Dallas then swapped first round picks in addition to Atlanta getting Dallas’ first next year.

Hawks fans will finally get a glimpse at what type of system new Head Coach Lloyd Pierce will have his young squad implement.

It is the first of five tuneups for the team before embarking on a three game road trip to start the regular season. The first chance to check out new State Farm Arena will come Wednesday October 24th against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.

The Pelicans come to town after being defeated by the Chicago Bulls on Sunday Evening. New Orleans will have to suffer through a rare preseason road back to back.

Game time is set for 7:30 from McCamish Pavilion on the campus of Georgia Tech.
