Yellow Jackets Handle The Louisville Cardinals With Ease

Coming into this crucial ACC matchup for both teams sported 2-3 records and no win in conference play. The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets controlled the running game and set themselves up for success. The Yellow Jackets ended the game with 542 rushing yards in a 66-24 blowout win.

Georgia Tech were able to score on every possession of the game. The offense found its rhythm early, lead by Taquon Marshall who was able to make the right reads and pitches, Marshall himself lead the entire team with 175 yards on the ground with 2 touchdowns while including a pass for 12 yards. We saw Tobias Oliver come in late third quarter when Marshall limped off the field, and he picked up right where he left off a couple weeks ago with 8 carries for 103 yards and 2 touchdowns himself.

The defense looked solid the entire game but gave up big plays on soft coverages when they got up by 2-3 scores. Even though they gave up 24 points they were able to create 3 turnovers with one including a pick six by Juanyeh Thomas. They also got to the Quarterback and got 2 sacks. Only downside with everything tonight was with all the soft coverage the Cardinals were able to rack up over 400 yards.

The Yellow Jackets go on to play the Duke Blue Devils who will be coming off their bye week so they have an extra week to prepare for the option offense. Luckily our guys will get an extra day to rest and prepare for another big ACC Coastal matchup that feels like another must win.
