The Braves won their first game of the 2018 playoffs with a 6-5 win on Sunday night! This game featured the long ball, biggest one of the night was Acuña’s grand slam in the second inning to put the Braves up 5-0. We saw the bullpen struggle to hit the zone and walked 9 batters, which allowed the Dodgers to capitalize on them to get back in the game in the third and fifth inning.

Sean Newcomb was on a very short leash tonight and was eventually took out in the third inning after his third walk. Kevin Gausman was eventually brought in and gave up a single that brought in two but eventually got out of the inning limiting the damage.

The fifth inning the Dodgers jumped again to tie the game up with homeruns by Taylor hitting a two run shot and Muncy solo shot off Fried. The Braves were able to strike last with a Freddie Freeman homerun on the first pitch to begin the 6th inning off former Brave Alex Wood.

Sobotka had another great outing pitching one inning giving up no walks or hits, that’s exactly what the Braves needed in the seventh inning to preserve the lead. Minter and Vizcaino both were able to get out of tough situations and keep the lead. Vizcaino was able to strike out the side after allowing the first two batters of the inning get on.

Braves now trail in the NLDS 2-1 but with game 4 being on Monday and having momentum the Braves are still kicking and breathing for the moment. The game will be on FS1 and first pitch will be at 4:30 EST so be ready to cheer on the Atlanta Braves again in the biggest home game of the season!

Why not keep this video on repeat until tomorrows game.
