Taurean Prince showed last year that defense wasn’t the only thing he could bring to the table for the Atlanta Hawks. Given an expanded role in year two Prince made the most of it averaging 14.1 Pts, 4.7 Trb, and 2.6 Ast playing 30 minutes per game. Among the 2016 draft picks only Brandon Ingram, Jamaal Murray, and Jaylen Brown averaged more points per 36 minutes than Prince. I would expect even in Coach Pierce’s system that Taurean won’t have much drop off at all and will average close to these exact same numbers. A few things I would like to see improved upon by Prince is his low post game and overall defense. Last year it seemed that Prince would be hitting everything outside but when pushed inside he would miss an easy layup or two. Also Prince’s defense seemed to take a bit of a hit as his offensive numbers went up so I look for him to try and get those numbers more to his potential.
