Who would have thought that before the season began that a Week 7 Monday Night Football matchup between the NY Giants and the Atlanta Falcons would be a must win for the Falcons and their season. The Falcons come in to this matchup with a 2-4 record on the season coming off a big win last week against a divisional opponent in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 34-29. A win against the Giants will start a winning streak going into the bye week with the Redskins and Browns to follow after. This week proved to be another tough one for the Falcons as it pertains to injuries. Running back DeVonta Freeman was placed on IR for the season and Kicker Matt Bryant will also not be available for the game. The Falcons will need to lean on the so far successful combination of Tevin Coleman and Ito Smith to grind out the yardage on the ground and they will turn to Kicker Giorgio Tavecchio to hopefully even come close to the production of Matt Bryant.

The New York Giants come into this matchup struggling mightily. They are 1-5 on the season and have lost three in a row. Quarterback Eli Manning has been absolutely terrible this year unable to throw passes downfield consistently and being booed by the hometown fans on multiple occasions for his inabilities to produce points. Wide Receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has been quiet all year long due to Manning’s struggles so the Giants offense is pretty much a one man show. That one man has been beyond impressive this season. Running back Saquon Barkley has impressed in his rookie season and is the front runner for Rookie Of The Year. Barkley is coming off his best week of the season so far going for 130yds on 10 Carries Rushing and 1TD and also adding 9 catches for 99yds. With the Falcons devastated by injuries at the Safety position I am expecting Barkley to have a big game Monday night.

I think even if Barkley has a big game this will still be a rout by the Falcons. Matt Ryan will continue his impressive season numbers against a terrible New York defense. My prediction is 35-14 Falcons.
