Tata Martino has declined to extend his contract with the FiveStripes

After months of speculation, our fears were confirmed Tuesday Morning. Tata Martino will not return as manager of Atlanta United FC. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to many after leading Atlanta to one of the most remarkable two year runs in MLS History.

Martino has been linked to some of the world’s top available jobs such as the Mexico and US Mens National Teams.

Money was not an issue according to Tata, it was “just the right move for me and my family” according to ATLUTD.com.

A world wide search will begin immediately and there’s no doubt in my mind that Arthur Blank and Darren Eales will find a world class coach in time for February.

Atlanta United takes on Toronto FC Sunday afternoon in search of their first trophy and the all time MLS Point Record.

Martino will guide the team through the MLS Cup Playoffs before departing. There is no official word as to where is next job will be. Thanks for the memories, Tata.
