Georgia Tech Looking To Upset Virginia Tech

Searcy looking to have a big night against Virginia Tech (Yellowjackedup)

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets visit the Virginia Tech Hokies in a crucial ACC matchup. Since their first game in 1990 Virginia Tech has a slight edge in the series with a record of 9-6. Georgia Tech has won the previous 2 matchups by a combined score of 16 points. With a win tonight the Yellow Jackets will officially have a winning streak against Virginia Tech.

The Yellow Jackets are coming off their bye but lost there most recent game to Duke 28-14. The defense looked solid for two and a half quarters until untimely turnovers allowed Duke to score late in he game. The offense disappeared again failing to find any momentum. The Yellow Jackets need this win to even think about going to a bowl game this year.

Virginia Tech is also coming off their bye week but were able to beat the North Carolina Tar Heels the week previous on a late touchdown pass to Dalton Keene and successful 2 point conversion to put them up by 3 with 17 seconds left in that game. The fact that Virginia Tech struggled with North Carolina might be beneficial to the Yellow Jackets.

If the Yellow Jackets want to win this game then Taquon Marshall has to step up and get this offense rolling early or else this game will be just like most and seeing the offense struggle for 60 minutes is not ideal. The game will be on ESPN and kickoff is at 7:30 PM
