Falcons Season Finale In Tampa Bay

Denver Post

The Atlanta Falcon’s season comes to an end on Sunday when they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Coming into the season, it was considered the Falcons year. Everything felt right and the Super Bowl is hosted by Atlanta. After all the injuries and inconsistent play we are glad the season is coming to an end and finally will finally have the chance address the coaching staff.

In the first meeting between these two teams, the Falcons won in Atlanta by a score of 34-29 in a game that the defense almost let get away. Desean Jackson wasn’t able to catch the lateral pass to end the game. Falcons own the head to head record between the two teams by a record of 26-24.

The Falcons can finish second in the division with a win and finish the season 4-2 when playing within the division. Track record suggest that the Falcons will beat Tampa Bay sending the falcons to a 7-9 record and the Buccaneers to 5-11 and a last place finish in the NFC South for a second straight year. No reports have suggested the starters wont be playing so I fully expect Matt Ryan to have another great game and predict over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns.

I personally believe Atlanta wont have any trouble with this Buccaneers team this go around and will win the game by a score of 31-10. The offense has looked good the past couple weeks but the biggest thing is the defense forcing pressure on opposing Quarterbacks and forcing turnovers. If the Falcons are able to do that then we can hold our heads high going into the offseason with some type of positive energy.

The best thing with the season ending on Sunday will be seeing how long the Falcons take to get rid of Steve Sarkisian. Will he be let go on Black Monday with other coaches and coordinators or will they take awhile to reevaluate him?

The game will be on Fox at 1:00pm
