The Falcons have decided to bring back Dirk Koetter as their new offensive coordinator. Koetter was the Falcons offensive coordinator from 2012 – 2014 when the Falcons offense was ranked in the top 10 each of the years he was here. They also made it to the NFC championship game 2013 when the Falcons scoring offense was ranked 7th in the league.

In a statement released on AtlantaFalcons.com Dan Quinn said “We are fired up to have Dirk join our staff as our offensive coordinator…His experience and familiarity with our division will also pay dividends as we move forward.”

In addition with Koetter the Falcons also hired Mike Mularkey as TE coach who also was the falcons offensive coordinator from (2008–2011).
