Here is your 2019 Georgia Tech football schedule!
August 29th: @ Clemson (Thursday)
Georgia Tech takes on the defending national champions to kick off their season and the ACC Network. Big task for Geoff Collins and crew for their first game ushering in a new era.
September 7th: USF
A revenge game after the Jackets let one slip away in South Florida last season. First home game of the year and of the Geoff Collins era.
September 14: Citadel
An old time series dating back to 1912. Citadel actually gave Bama a run for their money for a half last season.
September 21: Bye
September 28: @ Temple
Geoff Collins returns to his old stomping grounds to take on Temple. First game of an home and home series.
October 5: UNC
Mack Brown and Geoff Collins will face each other for the first time. This game seems to always be a good one and can always throw the records out the window. The offenses have been the highlight of this series as of late.
October 12: @ Duke
Georgia Tech has lost 3 of 4 to Duke including the last two. Daniel Jones has turned pro and he has been a big thorn in the side for Georgia Tech. It will be crucial for Geoff Collins to win this game as a brutal stretch of games follows this one.
October 19: @ Miami
Georgia Tech beat the Hurricanes last season in an amazing game. The Jackets seem to be snake biten against Miami, but the Jackets flipped the script last season and will look to avenge their last heart breaking loss at Hard Rock Stadium in 2017.
October 26: Bye
November 2: Pitt
Georgia Tech played their worst half of football of the season last year against Pitt. That one bad half actually was the difference between GT heading to Charlotte last season and watching Pitt play in the ACC Championship.
November 9th: @ UVA
Georgia Tech flat out struggles in Charlottesville. The home team has dominated this series besides Georgia Tech stealing one on the road in 2012. Bryce Perkins and the Cavaliers were the surprise of the ACC last season and will be looking to build off their big bowl win against South Carolina. This game also begins a 3 game in 13 day stretch.
November 16: Virginia Tech
First of 3 home games to end the season for Georgia Tech. The Jackets have taken the last 3 in the series and have 2 of the last 3 with a backup QB starting. Could prove to be a pivotal game in the ACC race.
November 21: NC State(Thursday)
NC State is this year’s crossover opponent for Georgia Tech and will be making their first trip to Atlanta since 2010. It is also a Thursday night game in which both teams will only have 5 days of rest. Also, if given the chance, the Jackets could clinch the ACC on their home-field.
November 30: UGA
Clean Old Fashioned HAte returns to The Flats this season! Geoff Collins gets his first crack at UGA it what will certainly be a thrilling game. Georgia Tech will be looking to end almost a two decade home losing streak to UGA. FYI: Paul Johnson won his first game against UGA.
