Coach Collins and his staff added the first two commits to the 2020 class today. Tucker Gleason and Billy Ward committed to the Jackets within a few hours of each other. Gleason is 6’2 quarterback out of Tampa, Florida and had offers from Georgia, Duke, and few other schools. Gleason is currently at Plant High School which is where former Jacket Kyle Cerge-Henderson played. Based off of his film, Gleason has a very good arm and is also has decent speed as he rushed for almost 100 yards last season. This is a great get for Coach Collins and a great way to start off the 2020 class.
Billy Ward is the second commit that the Yellow Jackets got today. Ward is a tight end out of Locust Grove, Georgia. Ward is apart of what Coach Collins wants and that is getting to guys to stay home. The in-state tight end is listed at 6’3 215 pounds and had offers from South Carolina, West Virginia, as well as a few other schools. Based off of his film, Ward has a good set of hands and hard to bring down in the open field. He also has decent speed and given his size will definitely be an end zone threat for the Jackets. Again, just like Gleason this a great get for the Jackets.
