The Atlanta Dream’s slide continued on Sunday afternoon as they fell to the Connecticut Sun 65-59 at State Farm Arena. It was the same story as previous losses as the Dream struggled in the first half going down 26-13 in the first period alone. Even though the Dream out scored the Sun in every other period it wasn’t enough to make up the deficit. Tiffany Hayes and Brittany Sykes were the leaders for the Dream as Hayes scored 14 points, with 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Sykes also had 14 points, with 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. The Sun were led by Jonquel Jones who posted a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds and Alyssa Thomas who also had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. The Dream will look to end their 4 game skid on Saturday as they travel to Dallas to play the Wings who Atlanta defeated for their only win of the season 76-72 in the first game of the year.
