Coach Collins and his staff have added yet another in state commit to their impressive 2020 class. Kyle Kennard out of Riverwood High School in Atlanta becomes the 14th commit to the 2020 class. Kennard is 6’6 215 pounds and is a defense end. Kennard is the third defensive end in the 2020 class and will be a nice edition to the defensive line. Kennard picked the Jackets over Arizona State and Minnesota who were the two other schools that were in his top three along with Georgia Tech.
There is a lot to like with Kennard’s commitment. He is a good pass rusher, is quick off the ball, and has the ability to make that turn on the corner. Kennard also has good hands and given his size can be use in different ways by defensive coordinator Andrew Thacker. This yet another good get by Collins and shows that the 404 effect is in full swing. Now with Kennard, the Jackets are currently ranked 16th in the country for the 2020 class.
