BREAKING: Nick Turner Commits to the Jackets

Coach Collins and his staff are at it again, as they yet another commit to the 2020 recruiting class. Nick Turner out of Brother Martin High School in New Orleans, Louisiana. Current Yellow Jackets Tre Swilling and Bruce-Jordan Swilling both went to Brother Martin High School. Turner is 5’11 185 pounds. Turner’s size gives him the ability to play at corner and safety. At corner, Turner plays very good coverage and knows how to get the timing down to make that big play. At safety, he is a playmaker and knows what he needs to do at the second level of coverage. Turner will give the Jackets plenty of options to use him on the defensive side.

The staff at Brother Martin uses him at both corner and safety. When the opposing team is in the red zone, Turner is mainly used at corner to guard the team’s top receivers in this situation. Turner is the Jackets 15th commit and yet another great pick by Collins and his staff. Turner chose the Jackets over offers from both Penn State and Tennessee. According to Rivals, with Turner’s commitment the Jackets recruiting class is now ranked 11th in the country.
