This is not Goodbye

With sadness I am announcing that will be decommissioned in the coming days.

With years of hard work and dedication from many writers and contributors, the URL brought a new era of sports coverage in Atlanta sports.

Unfortunately the momentum was unsustainable. Thank you to the dozens of talented writers that have lend a hand to making this site more successful than I ever imagined possible.

From the starting crew of Nate, Garrett, Malik, Daric and others, to the late coming saviors of Bob, Andrew, Reeves and many many more, and E for giving us a shot on air radio; I’d like to thank you for making the dream of having a sports website possible.

The ATLSportsHQ brand is going nowhere.

Braves Bullpen Excels To Earn Bullpen Of The Week

Prior to the trade deadline, the Atlanta Braves were looking like a contending team with a great offense, excellent defense, and solid starting pitching. The only problem was our bullpen, and not helping the cause was Vizcaino being on the DL the past couple months.

That all changed when the Braves went out and acquired Brach and Venters at the trade deadline. Those two have given the bullpen a boost, momentum, and confidence, not to mention giving some other guys rest. A lot of fans were even happier to see a struggling Sam Freeman sent down to the minor leagues.

The Braves are still in the race to win the NL East, battling along the Philadelphia Phillies who sit .5 games ahead of them. Since last week, the Braves have won seven of their last nine games, and the bullpen has a solid.

It may come as a surprise that Biddle has been a great arm in the pen, especially being only a rookie. But in the last week, he has pitched four scoreless innings with two strikeouts and only one hit. He was also able to close out the game for us against the Mets on Sunday afternoon in the 10th inning.

Along with Biddle, Venters, and Brach, the rest of the Braves bullpen, including AJ Minter, will contribute to seek success at becoming one of the leagues dominate bullpens
